Fashion2point0 began in March 2009 as a class assignment for a Web Communications course at James Madison University. Fashion2point0 is targeted towards professionals in the fashion industry, trendsetters, fashionistas, and bloggers. My goal is to highlight the ways that the fashion industry is and isn’t adapting to social media and provide helpful advice on how to successfully incorporate social media tools into communication strategies. Through interviews, case studies, commentary on relevant blog posts, and my personal suggestions, I hope that professionals in the fashion industry will come to use fashion2point0 as a resource for developing future communication campaigns. I would really like to see the fashion industry, as a whole, embrace social media on a higher level.
